Three Race Sweep for Co-op Racing at Road America Elkhart Lake, WI – Co-op Racing officially began its 2009 racing season in the hallowed hills of Road America. Southern Wisconsin at the end of April did not disappoint race fans and drivers with rain, fog, cold, and lightning. Not being a solely fair weather team, the first showing for the Eurosport 944 in its inaugural 944 Spec presentation was remarkable. The team was able to drive away with three first place finishes in three race starts. ![]() Big Changes in 2009 for Co-op Racing Peoria, IL – The 2008 racing season ended at Road America with rain and a transmission failure. Not the best way to end a season, but not the worst either. Since the end of 2008, the team has made several major changes. The first and most important change was the addition of life long team member Shawn Berberich when she married Co-op Racing driver Andy Berberich. The second notable change was that the Eurosport 944 went under a transition for its previous 944 Cup configuration into a 944 Spec configuration. The Eurosport 944 will be competing in NASA’s 944 Spec class for the 2009 race season. Click the link below for more details. ![]() Racing with Kauth & Mayeur for Junior Achievement Peoria, IL – Co-op Racing reverted back to its karting roots when they competed in the 5th annual eServ ePrix. eServ, a product engineering services provider headquartered in Peoria, raised $32,000 for Junior Achievement through its eServ ePrix, Go-Kart Race. And for the second time in a row, driver Andy Berberich took the overall win above 216 drivers and this time set the lap record. Consistent with his 2006 win, Berberich drove for local team sponsor Kauth & Mayeur. ![]() |
